Campaign details

Start with the page you are promoting. The three core fields are required so the resulting campaign stays attributable.

Include https:// or http://. Existing non-UTM query items and the #fragment stay in place.

Choose a starting point, then edit it to match your reporting taxonomy.

Core UTM parameters
The specific origin, such as google, linkedin, or newsletter.
The channel category, such as email, cpc, social, or affiliate.
A stable promotion, product, or initiative name used across channels.
Advanced GA4 campaign fields
A stable campaign or promotion identifier.
The platform that managed the traffic source.
Usually a paid-search keyword or audience term.
Distinguishes links or creative variants in one campaign.

Link hygiene
All modes trim surrounding whitespace. Other formatting applies to form values only and is shown in the preview.
Both choices remove duplicate instances of the nine managed UTM keys.

Preserve mode keeps case and internal spacing while trimming outer whitespace. For cleaner reports, use one casing and spacing convention everywhere.
