Website checks
When you run a site health check, the website address is submitted by POST. We resolve its hostname through Google Public DNS, then our server requests the public page; the checked website can see WPFlunky’s server IP address and user agent. Retrieved page content is processed only to produce the response shown to you and is not stored by the application. A global abuse-control file stores short-lived timestamps only, not submitted URLs or requester addresses. This is separate from standard server logs and analytics described below. Do not submit private URLs or sensitive information.
Technical information
Like most websites, our server may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of access for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
Analytics
We use Matomo, served from pase-analytics.com, to understand page views and how visitors use links on the public website. Depending on the analytics configuration, Matomo may process request, device, referrer, page, cookie, or similar identifier information. We use this information to improve the tools and website, not to build advertising profiles.
Cookies and accounts
The public webmaster tools do not require an account. Essential technical cookies may be used to operate the site, and analytics cookies or identifiers may be used as described above.
Third-party websites
Website reports can refer to public pages outside our control. Those websites have their own privacy practices.
Changes
We may update this notice when the tools or their data practices change. The date above shows the latest revision.
